Excerpt from an Email from Flora Vista principal:
"We are looking to purchase document cameras for our teachers. The bid that I have from the District is $535.52 with tax each. This is for the product Elmo Teacher's Tool TT-02s Document Camera with a three year warranty. If there is any way for you to donate one of these to the school that would be amazing! Otherwise, we are collecting donations to pool together and eventually have one for every teacher.

This fall we were overstaffed after school started and had to eliminate a teacher. In this process a large group of students were reassigned to new teachers and a few teachers were reassigned to new grade levels. As you can imagine, it has been a difficult year for everyone. Anything we can do to help the teachers and increase morale I need to do. "

We are currently running a "Snack Drive" at our school. There are hungry Encinitas students in our area. These students do not have a snack to eat during snack time and sometimes the school lunch is the only meal they eat. Your $200 donation would be very helpful to stock up our snack supply for these students. Or, if you would like to donate the actual snacks, that would be great too. Some ideas are: granola bars, individually wrapped pretzels, crackers, etc., juice boxes.

We also hold a Silent Auction in the spring and your "surf lessons" would be a perfect item to go up for bid. These proceeds fund our media center and technology at our school.
